I’m a Board member at The Colony at Sabal Trace in North Port, Florida. The community has 188 condo’s and it had a 47,500 gallon quartz pool that was in need of refinishing. The five Board members met with six different pool companies to receive price quotes and gain knowledge on pool refurbishing. By far the outstanding presentation was made by Brandon Popa who is the owner of Popa Pool along with his father, Phil. A business with a 45 year local history, Brandon was knowledgeable about all aspects of the pool business. He answered all our questions and provided samples of the products to be used. His price was very competitive. Popa Pool arrived on the agreed upon day with a crew of twelve and finished the work as promised. Both Brandon and his father were at our pool daily to check the work. We were delighted with their entire crew, all long time employees of the company who were craftsmen that took pride in their work. After the actual refurbishing was finished, Phil Popa came daily to the pool to balance the chlorine and PH. Phil even repaired a problem we had with our pool pump and filtration lines.

First time having a pool built was an interesting and exciting learning experience. Which pool contractor do I hire? How do I know this contractor is reputable and customer friendly? I was told by a neighbor to meet with Popa Pools in Port Charlotte. In order to get a head start on the pool construction, it was crucial to meet with them ASAP. The day that I called for an appointment, I went up to meet with Brandon Popa at his office. My worries vanished as I knew within fifteen minutes of speaking with him, that I hit the jackpot. Brandon Popa did an excellent job in orchestrating the installation of my gorgeous pool and caged lanai. He kept me abreast of all construction schedules, made excellent recommendations for selections of type of pool, pavers, tiles, etc. When you meet people like those at Popa Pools, it does not take long to know you are working with a FAMILY. They treated me like family and became part of my family. Their workers were incredibly polite and friendly and worked every second that they were there. No loafing around that’s for sure. They were helpful in making suggestions as the pool construction progressed that were vital as to time being of the essence in the construction time line. Brandon guided me along the entire process as well as answered every phone call, or email immediately. The family run business at Popa Pools has been in business for many many years. Not only are they successful and reputable, but they genuniely take the time to get to know their customers and their goal is to deliver a product that will bring much joy to all. Thank you Brando Popa, and Popa Pools for a wonderful experience and a beautiful pool. I will continue to recommend Popa Pools to everyone in the area. You’re the BEST! It is beautiful!
